forest of sneering demons

No matter where you run or hide, the sneering demons follow you everywhere

This was originally going to be about verbal abuse/bullying… but in the end I guess the context is about the same. Either way, verbal attacks cut deeper emotionally, mentally, psychologically. Sometimes so much it paralyzes one for the rest of their lives. And there’s no telling how one would overcome the impact it leaves deep within them.

Had this thought when I was reflecting on a couple of life incidents that have happened to me, and also to close friends in recent times. The internet makes it easy for anyone to hide behind a veil of anonymity and put another person down, so much so it completely breaks them and it is saddening.

Verbal abuse/bullying, cyber or in real life isn't cool and it certainly doesn't make a person seem like the better one. :]
